Bronwyn is a qualified Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with experience in both Low and High Risk Obstetrics and General Gynaecology. Bronwyn graduated from Monash University with Honours in 2005. After undertaking postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine, Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry and Paediatrics she commenced her Specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Bronwyn trained primarily at Eastern Health and Monash Health in Melbourne with rotations at several other hospitals gaining experience in High Risk Obstetrics and General Gynaecology. In her final year of advanced training she focused on Urogynaecology and Advanced Laparoscopic procedures at Box Hill Hospital. She has extensive local knowledge and a commitment to looking after women in the Eastern Suburbs after working in the area for more than 9 years.
Bronwyn holds a Consultant position at Box Hill Hospital. She is also involved with supervising specialist trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and teaching and examining medical students. She has a keen interest in preventative health having presented her research on Exercise during pregnancy at International conferences in addition to pursuing further qualifications in Pregnancy Nutrition.
Bronwyn Specialises in looking after Normal and High risk pregnancies including VBAC (Vaginal birth after Caesarean Section) and Twins. She also provides a wide range of gynaecological services. These may range from contraceptive advice following delivery to managing menstrual problems, pelvic pain, prolapse and abnormal PAP smears. Gynaecological problems may require surgery, and Bronwyn is able to offer a variety of procedures including minimally invasive (laparoscopic) including laparoscopic hysterectomy and open surgery.
Bronwyn has a passion for looking after mothers to be during their pregnancy and achieving the best possible outcome for mums and their babies. She is also a mother and able to empathise with women during the challenges that pregnancy can bring with it. With her exceptional communication skills she can put all patients at ease and can relate to women of all ages. She believes in a personalised, sensitive and caring approach for all patients.
In her free time Bronwyn likes to spend her time keeping fit with long distance running having completed several full marathons and over 50 half marathon. She also enjoys dancing, spending time with her young family and walking her dog.
